BODs connect to advance the ministry in this challenging time

With the goal of connecting, praying, and rejoicing, the Board of Directors (BODs) of PSALM from different districts gathered together during the virtual BOD Convention last October 30-31, 2021 via Zoom.

Hosted by Ms. Jaycel S. Andong, the event started in the morning of October 30 when Mrs. Donna Hope C. Tan opened the series of plenary by talking about Ministry Partnership and was followed by a breakout session. Afterwhich Dr. Ernesto F. Tardo, Chairman of the National BOD, discussed PSALM Things which included the National Assembly Decision and the Review of BOD Policy. It was then followed quickly by an open forum.

That day’s afternoon session was graced by Engr. Alison L. Koh, who talked about Financial Stewardship particularly the Theology of Finance (accompanied by a workshop) while his wife Engr. Isabelita A. Koh, the National Lay Director, presented what PSALM LAIG was all about. Praises and testimonies from Gerly Faith E. Macaludas, a campus missionary, Elena P. Guinoo, a LAIG leader, and from Avelina Delanto and Engr. Myra Yabut, BODs, brought encouragement and energy in between parts of the afternoon assembly. Student leaders rendered a tribute to the selfless effort of the BODs in the movement.

“At the end of the day, it’s not accumulating much money, but it is being humble before the Lord our God and having this reverence that everything comes from Him…” said Engr. Alison Koh who emphasized the value of giving to God’s work.

The second day was only a half-day session. Hosted by Mr. Dicken A. Mades, the event started at 2:00 PM when Mr. Elvin E. Bayate, the National Staff Director, directed everyone to a Prayer Power that presented the concerns in every aspect of the ministry. Moreover, Engr. William C. Sumalinog closed all the plenaries with the topic on Commitment followed by a video tribute to the BODs from the Campus Missionaries themselves.

“Our involvement in PSALM is God’s way of calling us not just to participate in the fulfillment of the Great Commission but for His desire to seal our commitment until the end,” said Engr. William C. Sumalinog.

This skyrocketed the passion of all attendees as they continually serve the Lord in this aspect of the ministry. Finally, the convention ended with the National Office recognizing the BODs particularly those who are already in service for 10 years and more with a token of appreciation.
