PSALM uplifts its CMs on year-end

December 11, 2021—It was a night of honoring the feet of Philippine Student Alliance Lay Movement (PSALM) known as the campus missionaries during the CMs Appreciation Night with the theme “Kay Ganda ng Mga Paa” taken from Romans 10:14-15 held via Zoom.

The virtual activity was feasted with a Guessing Game and videos of commendation from three students and three laymen for the lives of the CMs who have touched their lives especially in sorrowful moments. Mr. David Correos (Cebu), Ms. Patricia Pileo (Pagadian), and Ms. Cherish Bulco vigorously appreciated their respective district directors. Meanwhile, Mr. King Dela Cruz (Metro Manila), Ms. Keithleen Aton (Dumaguete), and Ms. Sandi Maaliao (Cagayan de Oro) expressed their gratitude in their testimonies.

Furthermore, Mrs. Naxidez Ebarle, a BOD member from Davao District, delivered an exhortation where everyone was inundated to reflect on how God is always there whether only a penny is left in the pocket or in Gcash. Hence, the event would not be complete without the messages from former campus missionaries such as Mr. Allan Yap, Mr. Isagane Castro, Ms. Del Jane Nillos, Ms. Sarah Demafelis, Ms. Marissa Legaspino, Mrs. Marge Poulin, Mrs. Jeannette Guinawat, and Ms. Annette Sanchez. Moreover, one highlight was the opening of a gift from the National Office to all CMs. From wrapper to personalized tumbler, the simple gift brought excitement and smiles to everyone.

Another group in the movement – the Board of Directors – did not let the moment pass without their words of encouragement too. Finally, the night ended with a serenade from Ms. Keithleen Aton, a lay, who performed her original composition especially written for the campus missionaries. It was followed by a community singing of the so-called anthem of the movement: Ala-ala and PSALMa-sama. The whole event was filled with appreciation and thanksgiving unto the Lord Jesus who empowers each of our laborers. May God be glorified in the feet that humbly serve Him!
